The Stylist Level System at Lavish Salon offers our clients options when it comes to salon services as well as providing a career path for growth and achievement for our team members. Clients may choose the stylist/level that best compliments their requests and needs from skill-set/experience, to budget.

In short, levels are based on what we like to call: “R.E.D.”, which stands for REPUTATION, EDUCATION & DEMAND. As our stylists grow in each area, they earn the opportunity to be promoted to more advanced levels.

LEVEL 4-4AA
Master Stylists are just that: True masters of their craft. They are established, respected, and carry a reputation for excellence that has earned them this title.
With years, sometimes decades of experience, advanced education and the highest demand for their services, there isn’t much a Master Stylist hasn’t handled in his or her craft. They are leaders in the organization, and experienced mentors who pay their knowledge forward to the future generation of up + coming talent!
LEVEL 3-4
Senior Stylists have accumulated several years of experience, education and skill from both behind the chair, as well as through top continuing education. They are well equipped to handle the many intricacies of customized cutting and colouring services. They are also skilled in advanced services, such as extensive colour projects and colour corrections. At this stage, Senior Stylists begin to take part in mentoring Apprentices & Level 1 Stylists.
LEVEL 1-2
They are competent in foundational cutting, styling and colouring services, and they often collaborate with our Senior/Master Stylists for more advanced services. Level 2 Stylists have a minimum of 1 year of experience, and are working on building their confidence as they sharpen their skills and evolve in their craft. Booking your service with a Level 2 Stylist is a great option for those who seek a high quality service at a more cost effective price point than booking with a Senior or Master Level Stylist.
Apprentices are licensed beauty professionals who have completed a minimum of 1,000 hours in Cosmetology school, and are now working through our in-house associate program. They assist our Senior and Master Stylists throughout the day, and receive hands-on training with live models once a week under the guidance of our Senior/Master stylists. Once completed, they will be able to begin taking clients on the floor as a Level 1 Junior Stylist.

SHELLENE | MASTER + EDUCATOR

Shellene has over twelve years of business experience in salon ownership and twenty years in hairstyling. As an owner of Lavish she makes sure to provide career growth coaching and mentoring to the team. As a stylist she enjoys using her knowledge to create exactly what her clients envision when they sit down in her chair.

gigetta | MASTER + EDUCATOR

Gigetta has been a Master Stylist at Lavish for six years. She boasts twenty-two years of sheer excellence in everything from cutting and colouring to full on corrections. Gigetta is a certified Red Seal Stylist and Certified Redken Colourist with a love for educating and mentoring our up and comers; and whether it’s in the boxing ring or the salon, she always delivers knock-out results! Her all around professional approach to hair, style, health and attitude truly make the salon and her clients shine!

RENa | SENIOR STYLIST

Rena has been a stylist at Lavish for six years with over fifteen years experience. With two creative cutting classes in Toronto under her belt her specialties include cutting, blowouts, highlights and scalp massage. With her unique visualization of end result instincts she was able to compete in the Hair Wars Competition. Rena Loves camping while traveling and reading about anything from geography to biographies. Come relax with her scalp massage today!

nikita | SENIOR STYLIST

Nikita has been a stylist at Lavish for the past nine years having joined the team upon obtaining her license. She specializes in foiling/blondes, lived-in hair, and long layers. Nikita is trained and certified in multiple systems such as K18, Olaplex, and Philocaly hair Extensions. When she is not creating beautiful styles at the salon you can find her at her favourite spin class or with her furry companion.

erin | SENIOR STYLIST

Erin has been a Senior Stylist at Lavish for over six years and brings with her twenty-six years of experience + training from Vidal Sassoon at Suki Vancouver. Specializing in cuts, shaping + colour she always manages to endow her unique sleek + personal style across her artistry. When she isn’t out shopping for fresh fashion pieces you’ll find her at Lavish doing what she does best - creating!

MEL | SENIOR STYLIST

Mel came to Lavish seven years ago and with over eighteen years experience of colour, cut and styling and she loves every aspect of the hair industry. Her main goal is helping you achieve your hair goals while maintaining the integrity of your locks. Hair transformations and bouncy long layered cuts are some of her favourites behind the chair. When she’s not in the salon you can find her being supermom!

HONEY | SENIOR STYLIST

Honey is one of our blonding specialists! She has over twenty years experience, with six being at Lavish. Honey enjoys working with all hair types and loves a challenge. Her creativity flows from doing hair to designing jewelry and accessories. She carries love from hair to the chair, and even made her client her husband!

taylor | SENIOR STYLIST

Taylor has been with Lavish for one year and comes to us with eighteen plus years experience in all things hair and has an incredible eye for colour and tones. She enjoys doing everything from bright vivid colours to soft and subtle blondes. Her precise extension technique has all the ladies looking and feeling their best. When Taylor is not in the salon creating or mentoring, you can find her soaking up the sun at her favourite far off destinations.

MACKENZIE | STYLIST

Mackenzie is the newest edition to our team having come to us from the CT Centre of Cosmetology Calgary. Up and running as a Stylist, Mackenzie is in love with her new career and thriving daily. While tending to her clients wants and needs, colour and highlights are her specialty. In her downtime she enjoys spending time with friends and her doggy Tucker.

ChristinE | STYLIST

Christine has joined the team at Lavish and comes to us with seven years experience. Her learning is continual as she grows with her senior stylist colleagues. She specializes in cutting, barbering, custom vivid colours and is double certified in fusion, nano, and microlink extensions. She is also certified in reiki and addictions counselling. Christine creates a relaxed environment for her clients and looks forward to making you look and feel your best.

latecia | APPRENTICE

Latecia comes to us from the cosmetology program at the CT in Calgary. She is a young professional apprentice eager to learn and grow under our master stylists. You can find her in class learning new techniques and up at our front desk. This young woman is going to be our next hair magician!
